Meet Dr. Mitchell W. Jacobs, D.C.
Dr. Mitchell Jacobs is the Co-founder of Great Plains Chiropractic and Wellness in Sioux Falls.
He is a licensed chiropractor who graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University in 2006 after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from The University of Sioux Falls.
Dr. Jacobs has spent his entire career treating patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical issues. He believes the key to successful outcomes is the combination of chiropractic, physical rehabilitation, advanced soft tissue techniques, and clinical nutrition. As a former collegiate athlete, Dr. Jacobs knows firsthand the importance of health and wellness. With his athletic background, he enjoys helping athletes overcome sports injuries and improve their performance. In addition, Dr. Jacobs has a particular interest in soft tissue injuries, which propelled him to become one of only a handful of chiropractors in the state to be certified in the Graston Technique to treat such injuries as plantar fasciitis, frozen shoulder, lateral epicondylitis, and carpal tunnel.

Dr. Jacobs, an expert in treating conditions from head to toe, including headaches, neck pain, disc issues, and low back pain, enjoys serving the families and residents of Sioux Falls. He is a member of the South Dakota Chiropractic Association, the Sioux Empire Chiropractic Society, and the American Chiropractic Association. Dr. Jacobs is married to Shauna, and together they have 2 wonderful children, Burken and Tenley. Outside the office, Dr. Jacobs spends most of his time coaching and spending time with his family.
